Choice

I realized I’ve been repeating this to people around me recently.
“You always have a choice.”
I would say it as a matter-of-fact.
“You always have a choice.”
Whenever someone says…
I don’t have a choice.
“You always have a choice.”
I have to do this.
“You always have a choice.”
I am forced to do this.
“You always have a choice.”
He told me to do this.
“You always have a choice.”
Life is unfair.
“You always have a choice.”
You get the point.
We always have a choice in deciding how we choose to react, how we choose to respond, the action we choose to take, the words we choose to say, the thoughts we choose to have.
Yes, we always have a choice.
Not enough money? No discipline to save? Cannot control spending?
Choose to prioritize needs vs wants.
Choose to weigh instant gratification vs long term planning.
