What's your Money Story? (Part 3)

July 5, 2019

(A 4-part series on 20 powerful questions of Money)

Everyone has our own unique story when it comes to money, how we spend money, save money, invest money, even earn money. How some people experience guilt with spending money, how some people have deservability issues when it comes to earning money or receiving money. I wonder what do you believe and what is important to you about money?

It’s interesting how we have such different and unique money values and beliefs, no one is the same, similar to our unique thumbprints. This is especially evident in the Money Mindset interview series I’ve been conducting. I’ve recorded 20+ interviews to date (not all may be broadcasted yet) and it always shows up differently.

Over the course of these 4 days, I aim to provide support to those of you that are looking to explore and understand in depth your own Money Story. I will be asking 5 powerful questions of Money each day.

When answering the questions, remember there are no right or wrong answers to these questions, your answers are your answers and they reflect your underlying values and beliefs. When you drill deep down based on those questions…you’ll get amazing clarity into your relationship with money. And you know, there is power in clarity, you get to know what are the things that really matter and chart your course of action from there. Now, that is precious! ❤️ ❤️

20 powerful questions of Money

11. What is important to you about money?

Just this question: What about money is important to you? This helps you to understand your values when it comes to money and therefore helps in the prioritization of your spendings.

12. What do you appreciate about money?

What about money do you like and value?

13. What is your first memory of your encounter with money as a child?

This is a very powerful question as uur values and beliefs are often ingrained in us when we were a kid. Think of your very first experience with money. It can be a phrase that someone says to you or an incident that you’ve encountered.

14. What do you believe about what money can do for you?

What can money do for you and what do you believe about that? How has it been like in the past? Is money the root of all evil? What other beliefs do you have? What have you heard from people (especially authority figures) around you?

15. What is your relationship with money?

Do you open all the letters promptly and manage the bills on a timely basis? Or are you a financial ostrich and choose not to look at the upcoming/ongoing problems?

To be continued...(Part 4 coming up tomorrow!)
